Places I've been to...
For my first 27 years of life, I had never left Romania. Farthest I'd ever gone was at the airport, waiting for various family members, friends, friends of friends, or friends of family members (or, possibly, family members of friends).
My first short visit abroad was a company team building in Albena, Bulgaria. It lasted 2 days and I lived every second of it, I was that curious. Photos are here.
In the late summer of the same year (2004), my then good friend Carmen and I got hold of some money and invested it in two plane tickets for Denmark. We were hosted there by our excellent friend, Corina, and we stayed for 7 full days. I documented the entire trip (down to the last bus ticket) in a website entitled "Why oh why did I ever return from Denmark?" Unfortunately it's only in Romanian. The link is below.
The third (and last, to date) visit abroad was right after my wedding, when my by now wife and I went to Paris. I documented that in another site as well (see below), also in Romanian. Bottom line is: we liked Denmark far, far better.
